Tower Bridge in London is undoubtedly one of the most iconic landmarks spanning the Thames.
A feat of engineering completed in 1894, it was designed by Horace Jones and engineered by John Wolfe Barry and Henry Marc Brunel. Stretching 800 feet, it features towering structures at each end, with walkways at the top and bascules that lift to let ships pass.
What captivated me during my walk across the bridge were the almost delicate blue inner archways within the tower sections, which stood in striking contrast to the solid, enduring strength of the stone.
